Rewrite Your Grief Story is a 6-week writing workshop designed to help you develop the narrative you need to keep telling YOUR grief story, on YOUR terms. Use what you learn here to help you kickstart a longer writing project, such as a memoir or novel, or a shorter piece, like a personal essay. Even if you’re looking to improve your journaling skills—I’m here to help!
WHY is having a grief narrative important? It is the structured story of your loss—and the emotions surrounding it. Having a narrative is integral to validating your truth and experience. It can also help organize your thoughts, which can be so difficult (no matter where you are in your grief journey).
In this class, you will:
-Narrow down the narrative (learn to tell the broader story in a more focused structure).
-Be inspired to express your narrative creatively.
-Learn how to turn your narrative into a compelling piece of writing that you can apply across myriad projects.

What to Expect
This is a judgment-free zone—only kindness will be tolerated. Expect dedicated writing time and exercises/prompts each class, as well as space to share thoughts and ideas. We are developing something that is personal to each individual’s experience; thus, we will not be offering critiques the way we would for other kinds of writing.

Dates: Wednesdays, September 9 - October 14, 2026
Location: ZOOM only
Time: 12:30-1:30 p.m. Eastern
